G1 - New Instant Gas Water Heater Installation
*With sub floor relocation in most cases any leakage from the H.W.C cannot cause significant house damage so a Safe/Drain tray is not required. If this is not the case there could be extra cost for a drain tray that we will include in the quotation.
Supply and install 1 x Rinnai A26 instant gas water heater (external) on twin L.P.G gas bottles piped back to your existing plumbing system and new gas bottle station. The water heater must be located above gas bottles and a maximum of 5 meters each of hot/cold water and gas piping allowed for this price to apply. If you have mains gas and don’t require a bottle set up a max of 10m gas piping is allowed to connect to the existing system. (Generally, this option is only viable if the existing H.W.C is located on an outside wall or is on the ground floor with space below the house, i.e. Subfloor space, to access the piping)
Note: There are certain locations where this type of heater can and cannot be installed. There may not be a suitable location on your building. We offer a free online estimate/site visit (Conditions apply) to make sure that this is a good option for your specific installation. Ideally a clear external wall space near the kitchen/bathroom at least 1000mm long between any openings (windows/doors) for the water heater and 2.8m long for a bottle installation.

- Instant gas water heaters heat the water instantly as it passes through. It is a common missconception that when you open a tap the hot water is hot instantly. When opening a hot tap the water heater takes 3-5 seconds before it starts to heat the water. Then the volume of water in the pipe between the water heater and the tap determines how long it takes for the water to be hot at the outlet.
- When closing a hot tap then opening again the water heater will stop and restart meaning it will go through the start-up sequence again so you get a few seconds of cold water before the hot water is back.
- Instant gas water heaters heat the water as it passes through so you are not paying to keep the stored water hot making it more efficient then
storage H.W.C’s. Estimated about 10% on LPG compared to an electric storage system. The hot water is endless as long as you have power and gas. - In power cuts the hot water system will not function unless plugged into a power source like an inverter or generator.
- There is low level noise from the unit when in operation from the ignition and fan.
- On L.P.G systems the gas hoses on the regulator should be changed every 5 years and complete regulator with hoses every 10yrs.
