Water Heating Specials Conditions:

Some of the items below may be required for your specific installation and therefore maybe included in the quote provided after the site visit. Nothing below is included in the costs advertised on the Individual water heating specials page.

Quotes and Site Visits:

  • All quotes and site visits are free of charge if the quote is accepted or if we cannot carry out the job at the advertised cost (Including the additional cost of any applying conditions below). If the quotation is higher than the advertised cost due to unforeseen circumstances found on the site visit there is no charge for not proceeding with the work.
  • If we make a site visit and can carry out the work as advertised there will be a cost of $120+g.s.t (West Auckland) or $200+g.s.t outside West Auckland if you choose not to proceed with the work. (Our mincallout charge).

General:

Prices advertised are for West Auckland installs only, additional travel charges will apply outside West Auckland. This will be includedin the quote. Please note: We do not cover all areas of Auckland.
The cupboard door or opening must be big enough to remove anyexisting cylinder and fit the new cylinder or additional charges may apply. Any shelving or items must be removed prior to work commencing or there is an extra cost of $25+g.s.t/15mins.
Any Cylinders located up or down a full flight of stairs from the access point will have an additional cost of $100+g.s.t per level. (1 story up/down $100+g.s.t, 2 story’s up/down $200+g.s.t)
Any Sub floor space that we require access to must be clear of obstructions or an additional cost of $25+g.s.t/15mins will apply.
Supply and installation of a safe or drain tray for any H.W.C replacements. This cost starts at $300+g.s.t if it is possible to run a drain pipe from cylinder position and cost depends on difficulty/length of running the drain pipe. Note: This will be included in the quote as a recommendation if it is possible for your installation.
Removal and recycling/scrapping of any old H.W.C and redundant piping/valves is part of the special price. To keep the existing H.W.C and redundant piping/valves removed will be an additional $100+g.s.t to the quoted cost. We need to be advised of this before removing the materials from the site.
Low-Pressure Cylinder Installations:
  • Supply or installation of a new pressure-reducing valve if required. +$250+g.s.t
  • Supply and installation of new pressure relief valve if required. +$180+g.s.t
  • Installation of the non-standard tall narrow low-pressure H.W.C. Model Rheem 18T13513. +$200+g.s.t
Mains Pressure Installations: (Upgrading from low pressure only)

Converting more than 1 bathroom tapware from low to mains pressure. ($100+g.s.t each bathroom)

  • Converting Standard Old style Felton Mix showers that require a rotar replacement. (+$70+g.s.t)
  • Converting shower mixers that need to be removed from the wall to alter the pressure. ($100+g.s.t/hr + Parts)
  • Repair / Replacement of any tapware/piping due to hot water pressure increase. Additional charges may apply if a problem occurs after the pressure has been upgraded (This is not a common occurrence).
Gas Water Heater Replacements:
  • Altering or changing any existing non-compliant work or positioning (Additional charges may apply of $25+g.s.t/15mins + material).
  • Installing a pressure limiting valve on the cold supply pipe. If the water pressure is above 500kpa we would recommend installation ofa pressure limiting valve. ($250+g.s.t) We can check the pressure on site and advise if this is recommended.

  • Standard disconnect/reconnect to existing compliant circuit, no material needed. $120+g.s.t.
  • Disconnect/Reconnect + Upgrade of the switch and wiring loom. $220+g.s.t.
  • Wiring for a H.W.C in a new position or connecting a new power supply for an instant gas water heater. $350-$600+g.s.t. (We can arrange an electrician for this work on a charge-up basis + 15% margin, or you are welcome to arrange your own electrician for this work).
