E7 - 270L Mains Pressure External Heat Pump Installation
Supply and install 1 x new 270l Rheem Mains Pressure heat pump hot
water cylinder outside your house. Connect to the existing hot/cold water
piping system.
NOTE: Generally, this option is only viable if the existing H.W.C is located on an outside wall or it is on the ground floor of a house with space below the house, i.e. Subfloor space to access the piping.
Includes:
Removal (from site) and disposal of old H.W.C. and redundant pipe/valves.
Sealing of any old roof/wall penetration. (if required)
Supply and installation of a Rheem Ambiheat 270l Mains Pressure Heat Pump H.W.C (A55127005).
Supply and installation of a new RMC Valve kit.
Installation complying with current plumbing codes.
Seismic restraints. (We use Stainless Steel strapping outside not the galvanized strapping commonly used)
Lagging of hot outlet pipe.
Converting low to mains pressure tapware, 1 x bathroom house. (if required)
Setting up a concrete pad for the cylinder to sit on with concrete
support below.

-With external relocation of a H.W.C you can make more cupboard space and have more options inside for future renovations.
-Heat pump takes a much more time to heat water then an electric element so sometimes back up heating from an electrical element is required.
-Heat pump hot water uses considerable less energy than standard electric H.W.C however the heat pump repair is also considerably more expensive to fix. The future cost savings are very dependent on the life of the heat pump. There are many other brands on the market t we can quote to install if you have a particular model in mind.
